Several SiTime oscillator families may be frequency re-programmed or tuned (i.e. pulled) via I2C or SPI interfaces. The TimeMaster™ software enables quick and easy evaluation of these features. This software runs on Windows-based PCs and is designed to work with evaluation boards for SiTime user-programmable oscillators and TCXOs.

AN10064 Improve System Performance with Digital Frequency Tuning in Precision TCXOs

This app note provides information on using the digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) mode in SiTime Elite Platform™ Super-TCXO™ families that offer in-system frequency tuning through an I2C digital interface. Learn how to continuously pull the output frequency from ±6.25 to ±3200 ppm, and control the output enable (OE) state of the device by writing to device registers. SiTime TCXOs with DCO mode include theSiT5155型/56/57,SiT5356/57,SiT5358/59families, which support output frequencies from 1 MHz to 220 MHz.
